Communities are generally left without safe water to drink or use after natural disasters. ADRA readily responds to this need by providing clean water access to the affected communities, reducing the probability of illness and sanitary issues.
In the aftermath of disasters, communities are beset by problems pertaining to sanitation and hygiene and the lack of safe water supply. ADRA sees this a crucial area for intervention. With our prepositioned supplies and equipment, such as water purifiers and containers, we bring clean potable water as well as sanitation and hygiene kits to thousands of families in need. ADRA also partners with communities in building piped water supply and rain water collectors that provide permanent and alternative access to clean and safe water.
